In researching Cousins Day for this post, I have learned five important lessons which I'd like to share with you all.

1. The E-Card "industry" is where all the people with Geocities pages full of animated gifs went in the late nineties, in order to escape the barrage of lawsuits from epilepsy sufferers and readers with permanent retinal scarring.

2. Perhaps unsurprisingly, these people have a relationship with their cousins that makes me feel subtly...unclean..

3. If you're one of the many people for whom Cousin's Day means gratuitous use of punctuation and semi-naked cuddling little girls, they've got you covered.

4. It's damn hard to remember which day you're making a card for when you're on that much medication.

5. Holy crap I take it all back. That's the most awesome card I've ever seen.
